Adobe truncating when converting a document to text

    jlloyd1234

I am using adobe reader 9.0 and when I convert certain pdf document to text the last character of each line is missing from the text file.  It appears the last character is being dropped or truncated.  Has anyone run into this issue?  Are there plans to fix this?

If it only happens on some files, the problem probably lies with the file. Can you upload a file you are having the issue with.

Unfortunately the file contents are sensative; i will try to find an example of a file with less sensative data; however I can tell you the following workaround works for the file.

            1)      Open the document in Adobe

            2)      Set the document to ‘Click to fill the window with each page and scroll through pages continuosuly’   (this control is the 2nd control to the the left of the ‘FIND’ box)

            3)      Select ‘Edit’,  ‘Select All’

            4)      Ctrl-C (or ‘Edit’, ‘Copy’)

            5)      Open your preferred Text editor

            6)      Ctrl-V (Paste using the Editor controls of you Text Editor)

            7)      The last character, for the last field on the far right of document is in the text document.
