i tried the getURL and it just goes directly to the next page without playing the movie
and i tried the second option you gave and it did the same thing.
i am really new at this so i appologize, but i do appreciate the help
did you put it on the last frame of the movie clip?
the thing i dont get is that there is only one frame in the time line, and the imported quicktime video clip is on that only frame.
should i add another frame to the timeline or is there another way. this is what i have been asked before and thats the only response i can come up with.
sorry about this.
you said Movie Clip, which is different from an import Video.. is it being displayed with the FLVPlayback component?
ok sorry about that. gotta work on my terminology.
i dont know how to answer your question precisely so i can give you the link and check it out. im pretty sure it is though.
click the component that is on stage.. look down at the properties panel, and you'll see <instance name>, click there and type in, flvPlayer. now paste this on the frame.
you are a gentleman and a scholar.
I dont know how to thanks but you have definately gotten rid of my headache.
do you know of any books or tutorials that could help me to better understand actionscripting.
you are welcome. the help docs can help out a lot. also, google. google AS2 books and I'm sure you'll get tons of hits.
