Depends on which media type, and what you're trying to do. Pooling might make sense if you're trying to show lots of images, some of which might be the same, but would make less sense for video (since each NetStream has its own state). But pooling would best be applied to the underlying media implementations (what OSMF refers to as "the loaded context"). Note that VideoElement already does this for NetConnections (i.e. they're shared for all streams that have the same connection URL).
