Per your e-mail, I think that John has given you the perfect solution. That would have been my answer, as well.
Please let us know if this works, as you need, and good luck,

Gyno-jiz Jan 27, 2010 9:33 PM (in response to Lame Tigrrrr)Can't be done. Use Illustrator or another drawing app.

Lame Tigrrrr Jan 27, 2010 10:00 PM (in response to Gyno-jiz)By your reply, shall we say that Photoshop's stroke has limitations?
Why not Photoshop code writers give the users the option to select between rounded and sharp corners (just like the good old Aldus PageMaker). And even more, give the user the option to set the radius size when it opts to rounded corners.

Photoshop is primarily an professional standard image editing program and for that it is top of the range.
If you want more than the basic drawing tools that are provided, use a drawing program as JM says.
We don't need any more bloat!

Reynolds (Mark) Jan 28, 2010 1:44 AM (in response to John Joslin)Photoshop is not 'bloated'. Every tool has a function, every part has a purpose - to someone, somewhere. Just because parts of the app don't fit into one users particular needs, doesn't mean they should be removed. Hidden to them maybe, but removed certainly not.
The stroke issue is about raster strokes, versus vector strokes. Rasterized strokes have to be calculated using pixels and this process is not always perfect. There is no'vector engine' inside Photoshop to allow perfect rendering of strokes like this (apart from the Type tool).
Vector Smart Objects would be a good solution to this.
