    Form Toolbar in CS4?

    Mike_Watt Community Member

I recently upgraded from CS3... I loved the multiple toolbars, the form toolbar especially so... with the click of a button, I could insert all kinds of form elements... now, in CS4, I can't find that.  I have to go to INSERT --> FORM --> FORM ELEMENT.

I know that there must be some way to get that toolbar back, right? Like the one in CS3... I've looked through the help file, I've searched these forums, and I've even searched Google, to no avail.

You're looking for the Form Insert Panel.

Although the Insert Panel typically may be docked on the right side of the workspace, and different Insert Panels selected from there, you can also drag it over and dock it at the top, above your document window. Then the different Insert Panels show up as tabs, and the contents of each shows up as a toolbar across the top of your page.

Do Window > Insert if the Insert Panel is not showing, then drag by the dark grey bar and drop when you get a blue halo above the grey bar.

Thank you. I actually had that panel open, but it was set to "Common" - I didn't realize that I needed to actually click "Common" to change it to "Form" - thanks for the info!

Yeah, all those toolbars are now in the same panel.
