Uninstall, run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup tool, then re-install.
Thank you for responding to my plea for help installing Adobe Reader. However I have not been able to locate Microsoft Installer Cleanup tool. I am not that knowledgeable about computers.
I think my problem is more than just installing a download. I now have lost my D and E CD drives. (Error message says no such drives installed.) When I plug in a flash drive it now comes up as the D drive. Time to engage the Geek Squad.
Thanks again for responding.
Sounds like you have some other issues yes.
If you get everything else fixed and still have issues with installing Reader, you can download the installer cleanup utility at http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.sh tml
Thank you for replying. I will have someone look at my computer or maybe its time for a new one. This is tax season and I need to be able to open pdf files.
