    Fill Color in a ColumnSeries/Chart

    jgsstrappy Level 1
      I am stumped with what looks to be something simple. I am trying to use the 'fill' for a Columns Series. When I put in a uint value it tells me it shouldn't be that. When I put in an RBG value it tell me that the mx.graphics.IFill cannot be represented in text.
      If I get the "contextColor" of my series it returns me a uint #. From looking at the documentation for IFill, it looks to want a uint, yet it won't except mine.

      Can someone throw me a quick line of code showing me how to fill this chart bar with a specific color? I don't even want a gradient, just a solid color!

      Thanks in advance.

          For a solid fill...
          <mx:fill>
          <mx:SolidColor color="0xDD0000"/>
          </mx:fill>

          For a Gradient...
          <mx:fill>
          <mx:LinearGradient angle="-90">
          <mx:entries>
          <mx:GradientEntry color="0x000000" ratio="0" alpha="1"/>
          <mx:GradientEntry color="0xFFEE00" ratio=".33" alpha="1"/>
          <mx:GradientEntry color="0xFFEE00" ratio=".66" alpha="1"/>
          <mx:GradientEntry color="0xFFFFFF" ratio=".85" alpha="1"/>
          <mx:GradientEntry color="0xFFEE00" ratio="1" alpha="1"/>
          </mx:entries>
          </mx:LinearGradient>
          </mx:fill>

          Note the angle setting changes the fill direction.
