When i developed this particular flex app, i uploaded php
scripts to the server where the site will be held, and used
absolute paths for httpservices while working locally. It works
fine, but when I uploaded the project to the server, the xml doesnt
load. I put all of the php scripts in the bin folder on the
server, and then used relative paths and then it works. Ive been
finding answers but only for cross domain issues, which this is not
the case. Why can't i use an absolute path to my scripts? they are
on the same server, there is an admin folder with the php scripts,
and then next to that is my flex project folder.
Please help, I'd rather not have to use relative paths.
is the crossdomain.xml file on the root of your server?
if yes, when you were developing did you access your
putting this path inside your code?
If yes, you must change that to your production server and
then recompile it, that should work.
When I was developing, i used
I then pushed my project live so there on the server is my xml
folder, and next to it is my flex folder with the swf inside the
bin. The admin, cross domain xml, and flex are located as far back
as i can go with my site directories. Is this not refered to as the
root of the server? I use 1 and 1, would i need to get with them to
get to the root?
