I use Dreamweaver at home and at work. I work on my sites alone. I have just started working with DW and dont know the best practice for doing this. The way I am doing it now is through a synced folder on both machines that holds the site. The set up is a local folder on both machines that syncs automatically over the WWW. So i created a site on my home machine with a root folder for the site and images, and then created another site on my work machine and pointed it to the synced root folders. Is this the best practice for this set up.
I guese what im afraid of is the functionality of auto updating links and such from within DW.
I have the same setup and DW's Check In/Check Out feature works for me.
This requires a local copy of the site on both home and work machines plus the remote copy on the web.
I check out whichever files I need to work on, edit then upload and Check In when I'm done.
DW handles everything else.
