dec9 Feb 1, 2010 4:30 PM (in response to Christian Davideck)Maybe the remaining shortcuts are windows OS shortcuts and over rule what your trying to do.

Christian Davideck Feb 1, 2010 4:38 PM (in response to dec9)The point is not wether or not they are working, but why they are NOT in the list (edit>>keyboard shortcuts), and thus not customizable (probably). The list should be complete. (I'm talking about CS3. Maybe this has changed in the meanwhile ... hopefully?)

3. Re: keyboard shortcuts: 80% customizable. 20% not ??
dec9 Feb 1, 2010 6:14 PM (in response to Christian Davideck)In keyboard shortcuts, in the layers section there is no option to change what layer is active. Therefore ALT + [ and ALT+ ] must be hard coded since the option is not listed thus cannot be changed. Why it is not listed in keyboard shortcuts is beyound me. Heck, it is faster to click on the layer with my mouse then to type in three keystrokes so maybe that is your answer for that?

Because Adobe thinks that Americanization has reached a level, where we all work with US keyboards, obviously. I guess it's the same reasons like proposing to use the circumflex key ( ^ ) in the German versions Premiere or Illustrator (and, to Adobe's eternal shame, they list this even in their help files!), when a chimp knows that can never work on a German system. So much for that. Well, whatever, at least Adobe is being consistent in being inconsistent about shortcuts.
