If it works on your local machine, chances are your web page is referencing a CSS file somewhere on your local hard drive. Look in Code View between the <head> and </head> tags to see where the CSS file is coming from.
THanks! Yes that is where I thought it was...but Dreamweaver did not put it in my files window. When I drag it there, it looses the formatting. When I have used a template before, it brought the css file into the file window. Also the background photoshop image is not in the file window but rather in the original folder where the style sheet is. How can I move it into the window so that it functions?
Copy your CSS and images to your DW Local Site Folder. I typically put my stylesheets inside a CSS folder, and images into an assets folder - see screenshot.
Re-link HTML document to new CSS location.
Thanks! The css file and two of the images were outside the DW files but all is well now!
Thanks for the tutorial...it really helped! See it at www.drivenperformancetraining.com
