I am running OS10.4.11 and after doing an Adobe update, Illustrator CS2 locks up and also InDesign asks for a serial #.
We called Adobe Customer Support and was told about the mappings file that needed to be replaced, which I did and it solved the issue.
However, after a computer restart, it goes back to square one and I have to unzip the file again and replace the folder - on a daily basis.
I called customer support again and was told it was an issue with Acrobat 8.0.2, so I reinstalled Acrobat back to 8.0. That did not solve the issue.
How do I proceed from here? Do I need to reinstall the whole Creative Suite?

a 2nd computer in our office with the same issue . . . I did have to re-install Acrobat Professional 8.0 to get back to the previous version in order for the fix to stick.
