    Help Centering Page in Browser

    loridonovan

      Hoping someone can help me here... I'm a pretty basic web designer and don't have much knowledge of CSS.  My client wants this page to center in all browsers.  It was centering before I added some CSS coding, now for some reason everything has been thrown left.

      I know that many folks will tell me to learn CSS... but right now I just need a coding solution for this particular issue.  I'm not a full time designer and just do this as a low-cost favor to friends with limited budgets.  When I get some extra time, I promise I learn CSS.

      So for now... if you have some ideas to share on how to add code that will center each page, it would be much appreciated.

      THANK YOU!

          Hi Lori,

            In your page code, you have a block at the top that looks like this:

          body {
          margin-top: 0px;
          background-color: #6D848E;
          font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
          font-size: 12px;
          font-style: normal;
          font-weight: normal;
          position: absolute;
          }

          Remove the last line that says: "position: absolute;"  so it now reads like this:

          body {
          margin-top: 0px;
          background-color: #6D848E;
          font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
          font-size: 12px;
          font-style: normal;
          font-weight: normal;

          }

          and it should fix it...

          Hope that helps,

          Jesse
