    Error 1072889818 - Windows Media

A few of our customers have been receiving this error when using Director MX 2004 with Windows Media Asset Extra:
      Error -1072889818

I get the same error when Windows Media Player 9 is not installed. However, They are using Windows XP SP2 with DirectX 9.0c, WMV 9 codecs and Windows Media Player 9+ installed. Could it possibly be a conflict with other DirectShow filters or another media player? It is almost as if Director cannot find the media player component.

Another unusual thing about the offending PC's is that the DirectShow file quartz.dll has got another file called quartz.vxd which has no version number and is dated 1998.

Any help would be much appreciated.
