Another example... I have this round button that after exporting has "flat spots" at 3 and 6 o'clock. Please see attachments for example.
I've tried so many things, but I can't make it look perfectly round. I know that it's possible since our company already has other buttons (already in PNG format) in this exact format and they look perfect. But the person who did that isn't here anymore and he most likely used AI CS3 or something earlier.
The reason for the cropping is that you are cropping to the spine of the bounding path, not the outer edge of the stroke. You can see the difference in size by turning on Edit>Preferences>General>Use Preview Bounds.
You have to be careful to have everything, including outer edges, within whole pixels on the Artboard.
Thanks so much! You saved me so many hours and aggravation!
It works now
You are welcome, seriyb.
I can only think of a few reasons why you might want to export and have it crop this way and I believe this is actually a bug if you notice the otyher three sides of the art are intact?
So in my pion when exporting it should automatically use the preview bounds.
I think it is saupposed to do thyis but it has not been working for a couple of releases.
It has been noted I believe many times.
