Are you logged in as administrator? Do you have full rights to the C: volume? At least to the Users\Oren directory?
Just glancing over your files, nothing out of the ordinary hit me. I'll have a closer look and report is something looks amiss, but from the very first looks it does not appear that way.
I'm the only user on the computer, and I do have full rights to the C: volume. By default, I should be the administrator, is that correct? Thanks again for your offer to help and your invaluable assistance to all Adobe users. With your help (and the upcoming Mercury engine), I hope to have a Matrox-free system eventually. I still have to use my XP-32 matrox and CS3 system until I can work out the kinks that keep me from exporting completed projects on my newly build Win7 CS4 system.
Let me know if anything stands out to you that I'm missing. I'm a bit frazzled currently.
For my understanding, your external disk P is not used for any editing, right?
How many processes are running? Post a screenshot from Process Explorer. Is your wireless network connection disabled during editing? Have you looked at this site to optimize your services: http://www.blackviper.com/Windows_7/servicecfg.htm ?
Correct, only internal 7200rpm drives are used. The "P" drive is just an archive/backup drive attached to my PogoPlug NAS.
