    Lost forum messages?

    BKBK Community Member
What happened to the messages posted in the Coldfusion forums in the period between September 24, 2007 and September 28, 2007? Most, if not all, no longer appear. Did anything happen to messages posted when the forum underwent beta testing? Could Adobe insert the messages back?

          BKBK,

I posted a couple of messages over the weekend which disappeared. The forums were running so painfully slow and I saw a message saying that the merge of the forum was on hold while Adobe investigated some performance issues.

Seems ok now, but it is back to the old MM forums, not the new Adobe ones.

Adobe tried to convert the forums to .Net like the group troll had requested. This of course resulted in a 6332% decrease in page load time, loss of data, incompatibility with previous forum data and indexing times that wouldn't finish before the war in Iraq. So they went back to FuseTalk.

I am of course kidding but couldn't resist. Still whatever method they tried to move to was failing horribly and I'm glad they at least reverted back to this for now.

That should read a 6332% INCREASE in page load time, I am sure.

Why didn't they convert the forums on their test box before going live with the changes?

I think the bottleneck was the result of Adobe not using Coldfusion 8! ;)
