I'm having a problem with Flash crashing when I try to start it. I first noticed the problem when I had a fairly simple scrolling text fla that I tried to open but after a few seconds of the document being open spinning beach ball (Mac) would come up and a few seconds later that app crashes. I've tried to open three separate Flash documents as well as just opening the program and making a new document. Every time, the result being the spinning beach ball and the app crashes after about 5 seconds.
I've updated all my Adobe software. What else can I try? Deleting preferences, if so,where are those located?
There are a couple options you can try, remove and re-install Flash, if you are using a custom work space try going back to Essentials. You can also try to create a new user account (with admin priv) if new user fixes then delete contents of users/yourusername/library/caches/adobe/flash player/ , and users/yourusername/library/preferences/macromedia/flash player/, restart then log back in under old username. And lastly you can try to remove all of the contents of your user/library/fonts folder, restart. If the latter sovles the prob, then replace only the basic default win/mac font packages, and if you need others embed them as needed.
Thank you for the suggestions. I'll have to try these and hopefully this will remedy the issue!
