A Help request - CS3 - Illustrator - My Rectangle drawing tool (and all variations, circle, oval, etc.) are drawing multi rectangles that are anchored at the point where the drawing action was begun and the spacing between these rectangles is relative to how fast the mouse is moved while drawing and the location of each object follows the path of the mouse.
This is an interesting drawing effect and may someday have a purpose but I don't where I turned it on or how to get rid of it.
I have quit and reopened the app.
I have removed my preferences and quit and reopened the app - it's is still there.
Any help that can be extended to a Freehand user trying to convert would be much appreciated.
Are you resting some part of your hand, or some object, on the tilde ~ key?
Yes that is correct pls check your keyboard whether This tilde ~ working properly or not
Nothing was resting on the tilde key BUT I had used the symbol on a business card layout and it must have been stuck down. This not a bad tool to have now that is working on demand. I'm happy to know it's there BUT I'm delighted to get rid of it..............Much Thanks to both Joe_Tony and Scott Faulkner.. Darrell
