What camera? HDV is 1440.
Thanks - didn't know HDV was 1440. The camera I'm looking at is the new Canon EOS Rebel T2i, and the review states "records video in full 1920x1080p HD resolution". So I guess the question is, what does that translate to in CS3 or 4?
These still cameras tend to store video in unusual formats. Some rather difficult to edit natively. Can you find out what specific format the camera creates the video as? Full resoultion is misleading; as it it usually compressed to extreme measures on these still cams.
Movie recording * • 1920 x 1080 (1080P, 16:9) @ 20 fps
• 1280 x 720 (720P, 16:9) @ 30 fps
• 640 x 480 (4:3) @ 30 fps
• Quicktime MOV format (H.264 video, linear PCM audio)
• Up to 29 min 59 sec (or max file size 4 GB)
Spec also says "captures video in both NTSC and PAL standards at selectable frame rates including Full HD 1920 x 1080 at 30 (29.97), 25 or 24 (23.976) fps, and HD 1280 x 720 or Standard Definition 640 x 480 quality video, at 60 (59.94) or 50 fps."

The screenshot you show is an OUTPUT setting, slightly different story. I think it would be wise if you could get a sample of video and try it out (maybe take your own memory card into the store and shoot a few minutes).
As Curt says, these still cameras are a mixed bag and some people are having to use some pretty convoluted workflows to use them! See the various threads on the 5D2 issue.
Hope it works out!
Good counsel. Lots to learn. Thanks!
