      I am currently working on Flash 8 tool. I wanted to know how to create a text effect on mouse click in Flash 8.

      I have tried simple text effects like fade in and out and zoom out effects, however these effects are not mouse enabled.

      Could anyone tell me how to create text effects in flash 8 on a mouse click i.e. text should appear when the mouse is clicked.

      I am also attaching the SWF file that i generated from a flash document.

          How do you create them without the mouse interaction?

            I'm not sure what the attached SWF has to do with the mouse click initiated tweening but i can give you sample how to fade in a text on the click of a mouse. You can use the onMouseDown event. Create a fla file with a static (or dynamic with embedded characters) textfield inside a movieclip and give the movieclip instance name "Text_MC" then use this code on frame 1:

            import mx.transitions.*;

            import mx.transitions.easing.*;

            this.onMouseDown = function()

               var cTw:Tween = new Tween(this["Text_MC"], "_alpha", Strong.easeInOut, 0, 100, 0.5, true);

            When you click the mouse anywhere on stage it will trigger that fading-in function.
