My only suggestion is to uninstall Presenter, then download the free trial of Presenter from Adobe's website:
Install that, and when it asks for your serial number, enter it, which converts it from being a free trial to being a fully-working version.
Next, download and install the patches to Presenter -- 7.0.1, 7.0.2, and 7.0.5. They must be each installed one after another -- you can't just do 7.0.5 alone. You'll find the patches here:
I hope this helps.
Thank you for your reply! I already tried that--- it gives the same error at the same exact point. At one point it installed and i opened a powerpoint file and recorded 5-10 sec audio and saved and published it. It worked fine then it shut down. When I restarted PowerPoint, it took a while to restart and then the presenter tab disappeared, along with its short cut on desktop. I clicked it from Program files > Adobe but it gave error that installation failed. And since then I have tried to reinstall it and it keeps giving that error mentioned in the original post.
I called best buy and staples and the guys there said that it's something to do with xtml or something like that, but they are charging a horse to fix it!So, I am hoping to find a solution here.
All set! It was an error related to mxml and .Net- updated it (after MUCH ado!) and it's all set! yay!
