Some PDF files from Web Browser won't open

    afreelynn

When downloading  PDF files from the Internet (Mozilla Firefox)
      "sometimes"
I get a message from Adobe as follows

Adobe Reader could not open ____because it is either not a
supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example it was
sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)

I have downloaded it to my Desktop and tried opening it from the website
I have Adobe Reader 9.3  Windows XP

I contacted a webmaster from one site I had this problem with

He sent the PDF file as an e-mail attachment and it opened, no problem.

I convrted the entire website page to PDF

By going to the Google toolbar clicking on Convert to PDF

It opens in Adobe then I clicked on Download PDF version

and save as.  This was the only way I could get the file I wanted.
