Close the Effects & Presets palette and clean out your font list.
First of all, thank you for your quick reply!
What do you mean by "Close the Effects & Presets palette"?
How do I close it, if the software hadn't been active yet? I mean, i need to wait about 2 minutes till I can use the AE... Or maybe when I close it AFTER the AE is up, it stays closed even for the next boot up...?
How do I clean the font list?

Mylenium meant that when AE is open, you should close the Effects and Presets palette. Your workspace will remember that setting the next time you launch AE. You may even want to save a custom workspace.
As for the fonts, if you're not using a Windows Font Utility application, then follow the instructions on the Microsoft website.
Ok, first of all, the tip with the effect pallete did help!!!!
AE opened in no-time!
It's so great you helped me here, guys! I really appreciate it.
I have a question, though....
after AE has launched, I've opened the effect pallete again, and again, it took 90 seconds untill it came up. So, it's not an optimal solution (but avcourse it's better than nothing).
I have to admit that I do have alot of plugins, maybe one of them causes this? could this be the problem?
If not, what can I do?
I could be an individual plug-in, but it's more likely that you have lots and lots of 3rd-party plug-ins loaded.
You could try uninstalling all of your 3rd-party plug-ins, and start re-installing them one at a time (launching AE in between installs) to see if there's a particular one that slows you down...
Allright! found it!
The Ink Splatters made it terribly slowly!
Once I uninstalled it - fast as always!
Thank You Very Much!
