1. Re: how to delete files, getting Project Exceeds Disc Capacity in Encore
Ann Bens Feb 17, 2010 3:36 PM (in response to computerskillme)You must have done something to make the project larger.
In the tab build under disk info you can read how large everything was the first time you burned.

Bill Hunt Feb 17, 2010 4:04 PM (in response to Ann Bens)Along with Ann's suggestion, check that you did not accidentally add any ROM content to the disc. That has tripped up many.
Good luck,
Hunt

Bill Hunt Feb 17, 2010 4:15 PM (in response to computerskillme)For clearing your Media Cache Database, you can go to Edit>Preferences>Audio/Video Out and Clean, or Delete. You can also manually Delete the Media Cache files.
Good luck,

I'm able to go to everything but the Out and Clean or Delete. None of those options exist. I am using CS4, if that helps.
Where is the Media Cache held?

All I did was move things in the menu and make the text has a graphic like the others so that when the text is hovered on, it changes color.
The Disc info says 4.76 BG used. 526 KB used for DVD-ROM content. I'm not sure what the content is from. How/where would I delete that?

Basically, that means that you do NOT have any ROM content. That is just the minimal overhead needed, should you add ROM content - that size is normal.
Back up a bit, you mentioned that you did not have the Cache Database Cleaning/Deleting function in Audio/Video IN & OUT. I was obviously relating to my Encore (2.0), so I would go to Help and Search for "Cache," as CS4 has likely moved things - sorry for the "wild goose chase."
In EncoreDVD 2.0, the Media Cache files are stored in a folder (Cache\Media Cache Files) in the Project's folder hierarchy. There will be several sub-folders in that one. Do not know if En CS4 has altered that hierarchy.
Good luck,
Hunt
