I'm trying to get some idea of why my (release build) AIR app is failing on Windows (Vista Business). I've tried debugging it with Windbg and all the info I receive in the dump file is that a Second Chance Access Violation has occurred with code c0000005. Not very helpful. The debugger complains that it can't find a symbol file for the app and so it defaults to "export symbols for Adobe AIR.dll". Is it possible to create a symbol file for an AIR app so that the Windows debug info is more informative? Thanks for any help.
No, but since AIR is a virtual machine, the app's symbols would be meaningless to the Windows debugger. The error is in the runtime anyway -- you should never get a crash. Please file a bug at http://www.adobe.com/go/wish
