I have been doing some replacing with regular expressions (CS3 Dreamweaver) and find that I keep having to close and open Dreamweaver for it to find my search arguments. Is there an amount of links it can handle at one time? Is there some way to purge some file to not have to restart dreamweaver after each search? I am using Leopard (OS X 10.5.)
I know this is some kind of limitation because it saves the search arguments and when I have closed the sofware and opened it again it finds what it went through earlier. Whereas before it searched the same pages and found nothing.
Are you doing a Save All after you do a find and replace?
I occasionally run into weirdness when doing find and replace in Dreamweaver CS3 under 10.5.8 but it's usually caused by "pilot error."
Thanks for the reply. I wanted to test out what you are saying but I can't find the "save all." When I do the replace all, I go to file and "save all" is grayed out. I close the screen showing all the changes and it is still grayed out. Is there another way to access it. Or, am I going in the wrong direction?
