When I publish my project there are items that are put into the Assets> images folder that that are no longer exist in the catalyst project. I have deleted these items from the layers pallet and then saved. yet they still exist in the final output.
Ok when looking in the code view I see the offending images in the project navigator under assets/images. how to delete them?????
Look in the Library panel. When you import an image, it goes into your Library so that you can reuse it throughout your project. This also means that you have to delete it from the Library in order for it to be removed from your project.
Select the image in the Library panel and hit the trash can. (One caveat: I don't quite recall whether this feature was in Beta 2. Apologies if it's not there - it's coming soon!).
Also note that unused Library items will not actually increase the size of your published SWF. They're harmless (but annoying).
