Are you trying to unload the entire Flex application? I think there is a bit of a mentality shift from the old world to Flex development. I read in some of the documentation that "old" web applications were a collection of individual pages and a Flex Application is one monolythic page. What exactly are you trying to do with the unload?
I need to trap the Flex unload() event that is executed when the user closes the application from the browser window in order to execute some special code.
I have not seen on unload() function yet, but I do think I will need to use one as well. I have some apps that require login and the user should be logged out when the app is unloaded. There has got to be something there in Flex, this is not uncommon. If you stumble on it before me could you put your solution here, I will do the same.
I've found something but I couldn't make it work.
Take a look at http://deepthoughts.orsomethinglikethat.com/2006/08/01/flex-2-addexternaleventlistener/
I don't know what I'm supposed to do with the "myCallBackAlias" parameter.
If you can make it work, please let me know :-)
