I've run into trouble using Time Remapping. I'm working on an animation and for the lipsyncing I chromakeyed my mouth and slapped the leftovers (just the lips) onto the character's face. I'm using Time Remapping so that once the character say his/her line the clip freezes on that frame until his/her next line. Sometimes (and that's the confusing part) the time remapping will cause the audio for the clip to become super stretched out. Now I've gotten the technique to work before which confuses me. Why is this happening?
Time remapping changes the playback frame rate. The audio is tied to the frame rate.
The way around this is to duplicate your layer and use one copy for audio only and one for video only You time remap the video layer.
Hope this helps.
