If YOU built the system, then the tips in this ARTICLE are probably moot. Still, many programs can install a ton of helpers, sniffers and other "stuff." If you bought, chances are that you have bloatware. If not now, by the time that you install iTunes (or many others), you will.
I'm not sure, but it LOOKS like the Roxio update the OP is talking about is the one to Encore for the built-in Roxio components, not Roxio itself
If the actual Roxio program... yes, remove it
