I just rename the file from Main.html to index.html. -- Why would do you want to change the name of the swf file? -- Whether you name the swf file "index" or not will not make the browsers to execute it. The browsers are looking for index.html, not index.swf...
Hmmm I will try that again. I did that right away and it would not execute
on the server. I did not want to change the names of the .swfs just the
html sorry if I was not clear.
Indeed, renaming your Main.html file to a default name should work.
Note that the default name depends on your web server. If you're using Apache, I believe index.html and index.htm both work; if you're using IIS, I believe only default.htm works. You can customize these settings.
It would be a great help to have some explanation about each file is created by Catalyst... Which ones are "specific" and which are "general" and can be shared. I would like to know whether different projects can be combined into one main folder and and use the same assets and media sub-folders...
I can imagine that a larger sites might use more then one Catalyst project and might be easier to work with if broken up into smaller pieces... Knowing what to move and what to keep in place can be tricky...
