Video slideshow problem

bondo645

I've written a very simple video slideshow that simply rotates between two FLVs. I'm running it on Ubuntu 9.10 in Firefox 3.5 but after a while (around 30 minutes but not consistent), the browser crashes. I need the videos to play non-stop for hours (even days) at a time. The FLVs are about 30 seconds and 1MB each.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

Here is the simple application:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" initialize="start()">
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
import mx.controls.VideoDisplay;
import mx.events.VideoEvent;

private var video:VideoDisplay = new VideoDisplay;

private function start():void {
video.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, loadNextVideo, false, 0, true);
displayVideo();
}

private function displayVideo():void {
if (video.source == "http://www.domain.com/first.flv")
video.source = "http://www.domain.com/second.flv";
else
video.source = "http://www.domain.com/first.flv";
addChild(video);
}

private function loadNextVideo(event:Event):void {
removeChild(video);
displayVideo();
}

]]>
</mx:Script>
</mx:Application>
