I have a customer in which I have to import a widescreen PPT file into Adobe CS3 and add music then add a MOV files of movie clips. When I import the PPT file it comes out jerky and too large, zoomed in and not the correct aspect ration. Could anyone please help me with this as to the correct method/settings to use?
First convert the PPT to MS DV AVI type2 and then edit using a standard DV preset. Use Google to find a suitable converter.
Also, be aware that MOV (like AVI, MPEG and WMV) is but a container, or wrapper. What's inside that MOV will be all-important. If it's the MOV Animation CODEC, things should go smoothly with it, but if not, well things might go pear-shaped in a hurry. If it's one of many MOV CODEC's, Harm's suggestion to convert it, is a good one. Apple's QT Pro (US$29 upgrade/unlock) is a good converter for most MOV CODEC's.
