1. Re: How do you keep layer style from effecting the outer border of canvas?HowdoI
c.pfaffenbichler Feb 28, 2010 7:26 AM (in response to upstart1762)If a Layer’s fill extends exactly to the document bounds then Layer Styles will naturally conform to those edges.
But maybe You could clarify Your problem by posting an example?

Reynolds (Mark) Feb 28, 2010 11:07 AM (in response to upstart1762)Chances are, you just want to move the object partly outside the canvas area. Photoshop's visible canvas area, does not represent the bounds of what's avaialble. There is a limitless 'clipboard' which is still available until the image is flattened or cropped.
Layer styles will apply equally based on the bounds of objects - unnaffected by areas inside and outside the visible canvas area.

upstart1762 Feb 28, 2010 11:52 AM (in response to Reynolds (Mark))So I'll just build in a "bleed" beyond the canvas border so to speak. Helpful. Thanks.
