How to ensure all Layer settings transfer from PSD to FC

    snake&tree

I imported a psd into catalyst and some of the layer setting were lost. Specifically the drop shadow on text and opacity on some layers. I need to know if I am missing an option. When I imported the file the options were all set to keep editable. I know I can edit them in catalyst but, I am trying to avoid having to reset all the settings on the affected layers.

          Hello,

Unfortunately we are not able to preserve some of the more advanced PS effects as editable on import. This includes drop shadows on text, and opacity on layered groups. There are a couple ways of getting around this, though none of them are completely ideal:

          1. Flatten layers before importing into Catalyst

          2. Use the "Advanced" settings during Catalyst import to choose which layers to flatten

          3. Choose "Flatten" in the appropriate boxes on Catalyst import

          4. Remove the PS effects and add similar effects using Catalyst (drop shadow, glow, etc)
