    Having trouble centering images in topics-RH8

      Using RoboHelp 8, centering all images (.png or .jpg ) in topics looks fine in Designer view, but when I use the View Selected Item function, output to WebHelp, and output to Word 2007 for printed documentation, all images are left-aligned rather than centered. The HTML code shows that the images are centered:

      <p align="center"><img src="RMS Start Page12-18-09.png" alt="" style="border: none;"
                                                   width="467" height="319" border="0" /></p>

      The .xpj file was upgraded from X5 to 8 in November 2008, and this is the only problem I've encountered.

      Suggestions, please?

      Many thanks!

          Welcome to the forum.

          Try creating a new project and see how it goes there. Assuming that is OK we then know it is project specific.

          Create a copy of the project to work on while fixing this. The inline styling should trump anything in your CSS or any embedded style sheet but nonetheless look at both to see if there is any conflict. Look at the meta tags to see if the topic was created from a Word document. Try generating using a different CSS even though it should not make any difference to an inline style.

            Thank you so much for your reply - I'm positive the file was created strictly in (X5) so no Word complications there, not even any copy/paste from Word. And you're right, a new RH8 project does not have this problem. Will continue working with css to see if I can isolate/fix.  Many thanks again!!
