AIR on Linux without Windows Manager

We are developing an AIR application that will run on a Linux box in a Kiosk configuration.  We are trying to minimize what is required on the box in order to run the application.   The application will take up the entire window area and is installed in the factory.  Is there a way to install the AIR application without a Window Manager such as Gnome or KDE?
