Dorin Nicolaescu-Musteață Mar 2, 2010 3:51 AM (in response to gurglamei)Perhaps that's how it's designed to work: it won't paint on pure whites. Try dialing down the local exposure — that will turn blown whites to light greys, which can be painted with a color overlay.

Pete Marshall Mar 2, 2010 4:27 AM (in response to gurglamei)As you say, the colour is added to the underlying colours. On blown highlights there are no underlying colours, there is no information for the brush to add to, therefore it won't work. You will need to use the recovery tool to first recover what detail there is in the highlights, if none at all were recorded then you require a graphics application (such as PS) to actually add information by painting it on.
