I don´t think that this is possible cause the formats are "slightly" different.
I assume that you like to create a jpg from a flex application (not to compile a jpg), or ?
I'm doing a project which allows the users to paint their own graphic design via a swf interface, and upload their design to the site and share with other users. Their design will be stored into MXML format or some kind of XML format, but the thumbnails of their design need to be generated as jpg file.
the difficulty is that I don't know how to generate such jpg thumbnails based on their XML configuration file.
You should really generate the JPEG thumbnail at the same time the XML is being created, then store the two in a database table.
I assume the users are drawing on a canvas, then clicking a "save" button. When they do so, you need to figure out how to convert what is on the canvas to a JPEG file and save it to the server. I'm not sure how to do it, but there must some documentation out there.
That's really what I want. Thanks a lot!
