    Customize Axis Label for Time

    dman_80 Level 1

      I have a chart with times (9:00,10:09,11:13,12:21 etc..)on the horizontal axis.

      Is it possible to customize these axislabels and show only whole hours, 30 or 15 minutes depending on the scale? Like 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 10:00 or 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 etc..

          I would imagine if you create a dataProvider with the desired time increments it should display fine. There was a forum post recently about how to generate a range of date strings, like 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, etc. I would search for that and then see the Flex Builder help sys on charts, and more specifically setting axislabels.

            Thanks, but I solved it already using the DateTimeAxis.

            <mx:DateTimeAxis id="ca" autoAdjust="true" dataUnits="hours" parseFunction="dateParseFunction" displayLocalTime="true"/>
