I'm unable to download the update using the update manager in Premiere 8.0. I get an error message "The update server is not responding, which means it may be offline at the moment or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect." I tried multiple times early morning and late evening and still get the same message. I also turned off my firewall and still got the same message.
Anyone else have this problem trying to get this update?
With other users, this has been because of security settings on one's browser, or with pop-up blockers being in use.
I would lower the browser's security settings and turn off all AV, or pop-up blockers.

I have been incredibly frustrated with the same thing and the problem is an inherent conflict between Windows and the Adobe software and the fix is relatively simply:
