Sliding navigation menu options, please advise

    Guermantes Level 1

      Hi,

I would like to build a navigation menu that is typically found in Flash  interfaces, but since I don't know Flash I would like to know if anyone could suggest other ways to accomplish this task.

      Thanks!

      -Vertical navigation menu.
-1st level menu options (let's say three items: 1,2,3)
-When hovering menu option 1, options 2 and 3 slide downwards, and in the  space created submenu options 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 appear.
-When hovering option 1.3, options 2 and 3 slide down further to make  room for sub-options 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 1.3.3.

It's a bit like a nested accordion but with the difference that no  content is presented inside the accordion, only navigation choices.  Content is to appear to the right of the vertical navigation menu.

Can this be done in Dreamweaver with Spry?

I guess it could be done easily with jQuery or MooTools, but I have not got around to learning that yet. Regrettably I am not super-well-versed in javascript, but I have  been able in the past to tweak scripts to my preference with a little  guideance.

      Thanks a lot!
