I would start by removing all traces of Reader i
n my computer (using Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility
if in Windows, freely downloadable from the MS site
), and then download and install the requiered Reader version from here
Extre linefeeds kindly provided by the software.
I have struggled with this problem since downloading the 9.3 version. My browser would crash each and every time I tried to open a PDF or the Reader. After going through the posts on this forum looking for solutions I found the answer that worked for me, i.e., remove the 9.3 with RevoUninstaller(.com if you don't already have it) and then go to filehippo.com, click on download for 9.3 Reader. In the right hand column will be a list of older versions. I downloaded the 9.2 version and presto, I again have PDF access! A great big THANK YOU to the poster who posted this method.
