If it happened in the middle of a recording, you may have clicked the Pause key. Click Pause again to resume recording.
If it seems to happen generically when creating a recording, you probably got the mode changed into Manual. In this case you need to confirm your recording settings prior to commencing recording. This could also indicate that you elected to use Full Motion Recording.

Hi thanks for your p[ost
I have rebooted the computer and started a new project
I am recording a Demonstration, and have restarted the computer and am workjing on a new projedft. i have set all of the defaults back to default. and when i now moust click, although I seem to be getting a new slide, I am not getting the reassuring mouse click.
In FMR I have mouse selected only, but I think that has always been selected.
Have I accidently switched off the mouse click somewhere?
Thank you - yes you were right, I had somehow switched on FMR

Can you check Preferences (under Edit menu), Recording, Settings and see if 'Camera sounds' is activated. I think you are referring to this when you talk about 'reassuring click', it is the shutter click (like in a camera). If I'm wrong, sorry for that.
