Greetings,
When I open a particular PDF, a blue bar comes up saying "You are viewing this document in PDF/A mode." What is "PDF/A" mode?
I'm using Adobe Reader 9.3.1 on Windows 7 Home Premium.
Thanks,
Shane.

Thanks.
Adobe Reader help doesn't mention anything about PDF/A mode, and I also searched the forums but found nothing.
Thanks again,
Shane.

I read the wikipedia article on PDF/A, but am still a little confused. It seems that sometimes when I scan documents, the resulting PDF is in PDF/A mode when I open it. Also, when it is in this mode, I don't seem to be able to insert pages into the document. Any help?

There is a user preference to never display in PDF/A mode, which will then allow you to make changes with Acrobat.
