Working with the new Rebel T2i/500D. It saves to .mov with H.264 encoding. I'm running Premiere Pro CS4 on a Windows machine. I'm wondering if there's a Premiere preset when starting a new project that's idea to select for working with the native files. With every preset I choose, when I import the raw files, they have the yellow bar on top, and I have to render them out to begin work. Is there a preset that is ideal, or is it recommended that I transcode the video to some other codec? Thanks for your thoughts!
The yellow bar means that rendering is not necessary, but the material does not match your sequence settings. You don't need to worry about that. You can try to change your sequence settings however, but I'm not sure you will find a good preset, because of the MOV wrapper.
I figured that was the case, as there were no playback issues. So long as it doesn't affect the quality of the export, I suppose it'll be alright. Thanks again for the response. I greatly appreciate it.
