    Cannot Record Audio

      Am using Captivate 4, running XP Pro (64) and am unable to record any audio whatsoever. I downloaded the latest patch and it has not resolved the issue. Someone mentioned to me there is a fix here somewhere pertaining to re-registering a dll but he is unable to locate the article.  Any and all assistance is appreciated.

          To add to the description I provided, I should point out that I am using an external mic, plugged into the mic jack.

            Hi,

             

            You can follow these steps -

             

            Close Adobe Captivate and then follow these steps -

             

            1. Identify the location of cmd.exe. Generally it is found at C:\Windows\System32\
            2. Right click cmd.exe > select Run as administrator (This step is only for Vista)
            3. Command prompt launches
            4. Now go to the location where Adobe Captivate 4 is installed. In      your case it is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4\
            5. Now run the command regsvr32 NSAudio.dll
            6. Message about successful registration should appear.
            Now try to record audio in Captivate 4.

              Thank you very much. I still had to download the latest IDT Audio drivers

              but I am good to go. Thanks!
