Thanks cmspro for chiming in. I have looked at Konductor already but the monthly fee made me look away. The flv's are being showed in a secure area so that rules out Wordpress as far as I know. Drupal, like Joomla have quite a learning curve. But then again Joomla is better documented with good video tutorials. To me Drupal is more for the code savvy people, a cathegory I don't belong to.
Up til now I guess I'll settle for the solution of pziecina. I'll set up some jw-players on the page with the code pointing to simple names like clip01.flv to clip08.flv so that the client *hardly* can't make mistakes. But really, thanks for your help.

This isn't a CMS solution but a Flash player solution. Wimpy streaming media players generate playlists from the folder of files on your web server. Thus all your client has to do is FTP media up to his server. Wimpy takes care of the rest.
