Oh, now I understand your comment in the other thread.
While there are many ways to loop sections of content in AE, they don't work in they way you expect.
In Flash, for example you can add interactive commands which will make playback decisions independently from the sequential content in the timeline. In fact, Flash is an interactive enviroment where completely different things could happen depending on user input, mouse actions, etc.
In After Effects, playback for the Composition is always sequential. You can loop a layer as many times as you want, but these repetitions will take place as the Comp's playback moves forward. So if you want to have a 3 second video repeating 3 times, you will need a nine second Comp and a nine second resulting video file.
There is a way, of course, which is to create reference markers in the AE timeline, export a FLV video file and take it to the Flash authoring tool to embed the looping instructions.
Can you tell me how to create the reference markers and how to tie those to the looping instructions in Flash?
I very much appreciate the help,
Unfortunately, I am quite ignorant regarding all things Flash
Anybody remember how to create and embed Flash cue points in a FLV file? Regarding how to use them in Flash to loop content, please ask in the Flash forum.
